Echo Rebel isn’t just another music blog. We’re a grassroots platform built by real musicians, for real musicians and we exist to support the artists doing something honest, loud, raw, and worth shouting about.
We know how much effort goes into every lyric, riff, and mix so we treat every submission with the respect it deserves. We’re not here to chase trends. We’re here to spotlight the sounds that matter.
Here’s how we do it:
🎧 Single, EP & Album Reviews
Send us your release single, EP, or album and if it lands right, we’ll give it a full, in-depth written review on the Echo Rebel site. These reviews aren’t half-arsed write-ups they’re proper pieces, crafted by people who live and breathe music.
If we feature your release, we’ll also choose our favourite track and add it to the Echo Rebel Spotify Playlist, which is updated weekly and promoted regularly across our channels.
We don’t turn down songs based on personal taste our team all come from formally trained music or production backgrounds, so we listen with care, insight, and intention. If we pass on your track for full review, it’s not because we “didn’t vibe with it” it’s because we’re holding a high standard, and we want every feature to mean something.
🌟 Artist Spotlights
If your release isn’t quite hitting the bar for a full review, but we see something promising, we may feature you in our Artist Spotlight series.
These short-form features include:
- A brief intro to your band or project
- A description of your sound
- Honest, constructive feedback about why we didn’t run a full review
- Thoughts from our team, written by musicians who know what they’re talking about
Important note:
We do not include playlist features for Artist Spotlights. Why? Because if your music didn’t make the full review list, it means we had real reservations. Adding it to the playlist would be disingenuous and frankly, if it’s not good enough to review, sticking it in the playlist would just be awkward for everyone involved (especially you).
Spotlights are about encouragement and development not false praise.

We’ve just launched our Artist E-Interview series a chance to go deeper into who you are beyond the tracks.
If selected, we’ll send you a tailored set of questions about your band, your story, and your vision. You send back your answers, and we’ll create a proper feature article that introduces you to the world in your own words.
Perfect for rising acts who want to build a real connection with future fans.
🎶 Echo Rebel Spotify Playlist
All artists who receive full reviews will have one track (hand-picked by us) featured on the Echo Rebel Spotify Playlist no pay-to-play, no fluff.
This playlist is tightly curated, regularly updated, and promoted to real listeners who want to discover their new favourite band. We don’t dump tracks into it just to pad numbers if you’re on it, it’s because you earned your spot.
Again: Artist Spotlights do not get playlist placement. That’s reserved for artists we fully stand behind.
🏆 Editor’s Awards
Every month, we highlight one act that truly blew us away. That artist becomes the Echo Rebel Artist of the Month, earning:
- A special announcement
- Homepage spotlight
- Top playlist placement
- Total bragging rights
And at the end of each year, we’ll crown our overall Echo Rebel Artist of the Year chosen from the monthly winners as well as a final December Artist of the Month.
It’s not about who’s biggest or most polished. It’s about impact, originality, and real rebel energy.

- A link to your single, EP, or album
- A short bio or intro to your project
- A band group photo
- A high-quality live shot we can use
If you don’t include images, we’ll dig through your socials and we reserve the right to use that cursed photo where your drummer looks confused and your frontman’s mid-yawn. You’ve been warned.
